Merri Creek Management Committee

The Myer FoundationOpportunities for community feedback to MCMC include:

Via the Friends of Merri Creek representatives on MCMC's Committee of Management. FOMC choose and nominate 6 representatives to MCMC's Committee of Management which is MCMC's primary decision-making body.

Through making a complaint. Complaints are recorded in a book, together with the action which was taken to resolve the complaint. MCMC considered establishing a database in Microsoft Access to record complaints and inquiries but did not proceed with implementation because not all staff answering the phone had adequate access to computers/were sufficiently computer literate.

Through evaluation forms. Participants in community-based activities are asked to fill in a short evaluation form for each activity. For activities with schools, such as Waterwatch, the teacher is asked to fill in the evaluation form. Statistics are compiled from the forms and reviewed on a regular basis to detect trends. Satisfactory performance on these measures is one of the factors considered when determining satisfactory performance of the staff prior to granting pay rises according to MCMC's Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2002.
