Green Gym volunteers are getting healthy exercise whilst working on conservation tasks along the Merri. Since late July eleven volunteers have been participating in weekly sessions .

In ten weeks they have weeded 900 square metres, planted 50 specimens of Juncus, propogated Wallaby Grass, spread over 200 square metres of mulch, pruned shrubs, watered new understorey plants, and have gone birdwatching and for scenic walks.
