Two surveys of critically endangered Golden Sun Moths will occur on weekends between Saturday 22nd November and Sunday 14th December, 10.30am -12.30 pm. Surveys will only be held on days when sun moths are likely to be flying: warm, still days.
Please register if you are likely to be able to help survey sun moths on any of these weekend days.
MCMC will email you on the Thursday prior if a survey is scheduled for the coming weekend.
Registration is essential but does not obligate you to attend. Registered participants will be contacted on the Thursday prior if the survey is scheduled to go ahead. Click here for registration form.

Note that this weekend (22nd and 23rd of November) are unsuitable for Sun-moth emergence and no surveys will be run. Stay tuned for news on further surveys! |

Brightly coloured Ground Shield Bugs (Choerocoris paganus) are livening up the large Hop Bush (Dodonea viscosa) in MCMC's front garden in East Brunswick. To find out more about these bugs, which have a preference for Hop Bushes, click here (external link). Hop Bush has been extensively planted in revegetation plots along Merri Creek and makes a great garden plant.

MCMC contributed to a magnificent 16 piece mural featured at the 2008 Riversymposium in Brisbane.
The “River Tapestries” commemorates the tenth anniversary of the Theiss Riverprize (won by MCMC in 2002). The Merri Creek contribution (right) was painted by local artist, Jo Waite, to represent special features of the Merri landscape. The full tapestry can be seen at www.riverfoundation.org.au
